Your tax data stays on your device

All calculations and PDF filling run locally in your browser. TaxPilot has no accounts and no server-side database; the numbers, names and SSNs you type are never sent to us.

Local storage

Your language choice, calculator inputs and return drafts are saved in your browser's localStorage so you can resume later. Use "Clear draft" or clear your browser data to remove them. Do not save drafts on a shared computer.

Third parties and analytics

The page loads open-source libraries (Chart.js and pdf-lib) from public CDNs, which may see your IP address like any website request. Analytics are disabled. If privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (Plausible) are enabled in the future, only anonymous page-view counts would be collected, never form inputs.
